Corbitt Orthodontics is now Inspirational Smiles Orthodontics!

For the past thirty-six years, I have enjoyed and feel blessed to have been in the Dental and Orthodontics profession. It has been a great joy to have participated in the care and creation of beautiful smiles for so many. I’m thankful for the opportunity to meet wonderful people, to see the changes to their smile, to witness their development to successful adults, and for them to achieve confidence in their smile.

Although I will miss Orthodontics, the time has come for a change for my wife and me. My primary goal was to find someone who could continue excellent care for my patients and provide a positive working environment for my staff. I had not planned to retire for another year or two, but I was recently introduced to someone whom I feel is just the right person to entrust with the care and treatment of my patients and the employment of my staff. Therefore, I have decided to do so now while this highly qualified person is available.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Dr. Imelda Crews. She graduated in 1998 from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City with her Doctor in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.); and in 2000 she completed her Orthodontic residency in Mexico City. While in private practice in Mexico City, she met her husband and decided to move to the United States in 2002; she has since completed the International Dental Studies Program at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California obtaining her Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) in the United States. She has practiced General Dentistry and Orthodontics here in the United States since 2009 in the Cumming area; and opened her private practice in downtown Cumming in 2011. In 2021, she completed her United States Orthodontic Residency, obtaining her Orthodontic Certificate from the Georgia School of Orthodontics and subsequently completed Board Certification with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).

I am very pleased that Dr. Crews will be assuming responsibility for your continued Orthodontic care. I believe that she is more than capable of continuing your care at the same level you have come to expect. As of October 2, 2023, we have begun this transition with Dr. Crews and moving forward she will be managing all future treatment. All patient records and x-rays will remain here at the location with Dr. Crews. The team to whom you have become accustomed, Sonia, Roni, Emily, Becca, and Cyndy, will continue to be part of the practice and continue to assist Dr. Crews with your care. I am certain Dr. Crews will continue to provide quality care in a gentle manner to you and your family, and I am confident you will enjoy having her as your Orthodontist.
