Dr. Imelda Crews, D.D.S., was born and educated in Mexico, obtaining her Degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1998 from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and her specialty in Orthodontics in Mexico City. After several years of practicing Dentistry in Mexico, she moved to the United States and continued her dental education by participating in the International Dental Studies Program at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California, and obtained her D.D.S. and licensure in the United States. She brings over 20 years of experience to her daily practice of Dentistry. Dr. Crews has operated her private practice in Cumming since 2011, and has been practicing dentistry since graduating dental school in 1998. She is dual licensed in Mexico and the United States as a Dentist and an Orthodontist.
Being bilingual in both English and Spanish (native) allows Dr. Crews to effectively practice Dentistry in both languages. She understands that even though many Spanish speakers are perfectly capable of speaking English, they may still prefer to discuss dental treatment options in their native tongue. The ability to do this is what differentiates Dr. Crews from other dentists who advertise that they "speak Spanish."
